The thing is...
Watching Cross because Aldis Hodge, and while it's good and the performances are excellent across the board there are two things that a preventing me from truly enjoying it:
1) The cinematographer apparently went to the Game of Thrones school of no lighting.
And
2) Alex Cross is supposed to be so smart. So very smart and yet they have him doing so many stupid things. Much like how the vampires in Buffy were super strong until the plot required them not to be, Cross is smooth and can totally out-think and out-maneuver everyone. Except when he does absolutely stupid shit. Like, OK, yes, some of it is emotional trauma, but other stuff is just...clearly plot. And I would rather they had worked harder on the story instead of compromising their lead character.
Still, Aldis is fantastic and there are worse things to watch.
(There are definite CW for a lot of violence and some body horror stuff.)
