- Patrick Reusse, Minneapolis Star Tribune: "Most important, I'm offering an apology to Leigh Bodden, a Detroit cornerback who was the victim of a bogus pass interference call that cost his team what would've been a hard-earned first victory of the season."
- Tom Powers, St. Paul Pioneer Press: "A horrible pass interference call on Leigh Bodden with just more than two minutes to go moved the ball 42 yards and set up the winning field goal."
I'll leave to your imagination what the Detroit papers are saying...
