This is all aloysiavirgata 's idea. Looked fun!

1) What is/are your least-favorite fic(s) that you've ever written? If you're comfortable, share why and what you would have done differently.

2) What is/are your favorite piece(s) that you've written? If you're comfortable, please share what you like about your work.

3) Is there anything you'd never want to write? Would love to write but can't figure out how to approach?

4) Do you find that being a writer limits your ability to enjoy characterizations that don't mesh with your own?

5) Do you write things other than X-Files fanfic? Any differences in how you tackle those pieces when compared to fanfiction?

6) What appeals to you about writing fanfiction?

My answers:

1) Well, I don't strongly dislike anything I've written. Maybe I will later - I've only been writing for maybe over a year? I don't even remember. Anyway, I do know that I have a tendency to be over-wordy, and that shows mostly in my earliest stuff (where I want to go back and tell myself to back off the thesaurus juuuust a little).

2) My favorite might be "It's All X". I don't know, it's a weird idea but I think it turned out well and 'realistic' for the circumstances of the story. I feel like I matched their characters with what happened to both of them, and there was a good balance of angst. Plus, it was a blast to write.

3) I really only write MSR, so no slash or other pairings. I don't think I could torture either Mulder or Scully with non-canon character death, either. Also, I can't deal with the idea of writing rape. But there are a wide range of things within that kind of scope that I would be willing to try.

4) Yeah, I guess. I had issues with some authors' characterizations before I started writing fic, but I've written stories for as long as I can remember. So characterizations I don't agree with do tend to cause me problems, but sometimes, if the story is interesting enough and the characters are close *enough*, I can still read.

5) As I said in 4), I have been writing stories since I knew how to write. I used to want to be a fiction author when I grew up, and I'd still like to publish something someday. Now that I write fanfic, too, I don't write my own stories as often - I guess the story sometimes comes easier when you have ready-made characters and a universe for them. But the process of discovering my own characters is its own fun challenge.

6) I know I'm not the first to say this - it's largely that Mulder and Scully are just such fascinating characters! Also, the show leaves so many things unsaid that I feel like I need to explore more.
