Guess who's got no money for food and is literally drinking water to quench his appetite? Yeah.
I had a check from my summer job that i never cashed so that I could use it on a rainy day. I decided it was about time and deposited it on tuesday. on friday i check my balance from an ATM and it says i have the money now. So I buy food because I was running out. Did I mention that i'm on campus over break and so there really isn't that much food available that you didn't buy?
Apparently, however, the check bounced. The next day I check my balance on a whim and what do i get on a sunny saturday morning? a negative balance. yeah, buying that food under the false hope of having money that I didn't have wiped out all the little cash i DID actually have and then some.
Now today I call the payroll office at the old summer job and they say that while the check in question was on their list of outstanding checks, it wasn't ever voided or canceled so the bank SHOULD have honored it.
Now the bank is closed until tomorrow morning and I don't know what the fuck to do because I can't get an answer from anywhere that'll actually HELP get my money back.
