Joy Inspiring Weather

We thought Spring was here. This morning I was awakened by my wretched alarm from an amazing dream only to hear that driving conditions were ‘ snowy and treacherous’ and I thought I had time travelled. My initial thought that it was like in Groundhog Day, but instead of reliving the one day again and again I had to relive winter over and over. Each time spring had sprung the alarm of the next day would take me back to November. Luckily this had not happened and Terry assured me that it was in fact March 30th (or whatever day it happens to be). A minor setback in spring, Freddy town is expected to get 25 cm of snow by the end of the day. This is why I love Canada, the Maritimes and nature. It teases us with warm days and no coat weather and melting snow and bright sunshine only to wake us up with some more white stuff. Lots of hilarious and blizzardaly snow.

Lee’s B-day was on Friday, but since he was away playing basketball on Grand Manan Island all weekend, we postponed his birthday festivities until tomorrow night. Celebrating Lee will be super. Spring/Summer/Fall family get togethers at Ferg and Krista’s are among my favourite things to do in the warm months. These two are amazing hosts and their home gravitates homey. Plus there is a game of washers, a bbq and a pool. It is pretty much a play land of fun in Sunshine Gardens.

This upcoming week is dedicated to getting ready for spring. Lots of laundry and putting away of winter stuff, spring cleaning and getting air in my bike tires. I will be prepared.
