I think Yuuri is excited about "having a girlfriend" but not so much about "the girlfriend herself." He finds her cute and comfy to be with and all, but she's his girlfriend because she imposed herself on him, not because he is attracted to her. While he might not think of Wolfram as his romantic partner, he's definitely more attached to Wolfram emotionally than to this girl. Isn't it funny how he has a fiance, and now a girlfriend, without feeling a shred of romantic attraction to either? :-D
All in all, I think he's in love with the notion of "being in love" without really understand what it means to "love" or to "be in love" with someone... It seems he's got a lot of "growing up" to do here. Heh, it'll be funny to see how Wolfram reacts. Silly Yuuri has got himself into big trouble without knowing it, again! :-D
