Spring Happiness is Here

School has all of sudden become so much less stressful and I'm thankful for that. Last week was ridiculous. I had a test in Evolution which I did really good on and a test in Physics which I did pretty good on. I only have about 4 weeks and a final left and then physics is hopefully out of my life for-e-ver. In addition to a couple tests, I had my genetics research lab scheduled for everyday last week. I like being in the lab and all, but not when I have uber studying to do for tests. And now, I feel nearly stress free. I feel great. Pretty much all I have left for the quarter, and subsequently the school year, is an archeopteryx presentation (which I'm kind of excited about since I get to do a presentation on dinosaurs) and only two finals.

In regards to weather, it has been absolutely amazing the past week or so. For some reason the clouds, rain, and cold really got to me this year and the sunshine has been a long time coming. I really enjoy walking to and from school now in nothing but a t-shirt and even shorts. However, my arms are quite burnt already and I'm even starting to feel it on my face.

This past weekend marks the first time I have gone home when it wasn't an extended vacation. I decided to go home Saturday night and surprise my mother for Mother's Day. It was really good seeing the family and spending time with them, even if I was only home for one day. We went out to eat at the Elk's Club in Tacoma Sunday morning and then went shopping at the Tacoma mall. My mom bought me a few things while there, including plaid shorts, which seems rather ironic seeing as how it was Mother's Day. Oh well. I shan't complain.
