I'm all for the supermarkets' current initiative to cut down on the amount of plastic bags we use and we have several of those 'Bag For Life' efforts at home. The only problem is that when I head up to ASDA they typically remain at home as I usually forget to bring them with me and end up having to use more plastic bags anyway. On very rare occassions, such as tonight, I do somehow manage to remember to pick them before leaving - although on those occassions, such as tonight, I typically then get to the checkout with my shopping and realise that I have left them in the boot of the car.
It really hasn't been the best of days for my rapidly degenerating short-term memory. I spent today at a client site in Maidenhead and when I returned to my car at the end of the day I discovered that I had left my car keys hanging out of the drivers side door lock. All day. Fortunately my car is such a piece of shit that even when it's gift-wrapped criminals don't want to steal it.
