As you would perhaps expect, every national newspaper lead today with coverage of the US Presidential Election. Well I say all. The front page of The Sun is proclaiming the legend ... "Will Young Burgled".

Well it is dealing with the issues that affect us the most! Will Young is near-dammit a national treasure, esp with the Queen Mum (RIP) no longer a funnel for national pride. I mean it is not as if we haven't had enough of the US elections. "Biggest deal for a generation?" "In the worlds biggest democracy". I have never seen such a shower of shit in all my life. For a country (and I am sorry all you leftpodians that will read this, it is aimed at... well you will see what it is aimed at) that pounds it's democratic chest every 30 nanoseconds, it is painfully inadiquate in dealing with it. I mean, people were waiting 9 hours to vote. Do they have once poll per state or something? Why is it that so many other countries in the world (and I am not counting the 'known' dodgy ones) can manage to have elections without the stories of queues and rigged election boxes. Or people being turned away. Eh? Tis normally associated with elections in tin pot dictatorships where there is no choice but to vote for the current person in power.

Sorry Jon, that should have been a rant in my own LJ.

For once I agree with The Sun. I think they're sending subliminal messages that Will Young would actually make a great politician. Maybe we could ship Tony Bleugh to the states so he can lick Georgie's arse much easier, then we can Vote Will for Prime Minister and start putting this country back into order ;-). At least Will won't have a Mrs that looks like a cabbage patch kid on speed...
