Rain is calming down some for the time being...there's more wrapping in behind from the south... thanks, tropical storm depression Hermine.
Only 1.18" of rain in 38 mins between 11pm and midnight. The main highway thru town was watercovered, and they had to close it west of town because water was across the road up to the tops of the concrete dividers between lanes. And an apartment complex about a mile away had to be partially evacuated because of flooding.
My house is still dry inside, thank the gods - took about an hour, total, of redirecting water to get it that way. rain in the front yard up over my ankles. water in the back yard half-way up my lower leg. water flowing down the sidewalks and roads a few inches deep.
Good times tonight. :P
