Ah, sleep eludes me.
I was sleepy about, oh, an hour and a half ago, to the point of nearly nodding off in front of my laptop... But, of course, standing up and walking upstairs to my bedroom apparently woke my sleepy ass up. *sigh*
Which explains why I spent that past hour and a half meditating spinning up fiber. *facepalm*
And so, for my dear momma_dar, who made the mistake once of confessing that she liked when I posted the step-by-step development of the bambino yarn from last year...I give you:
This is approximately 1.5 oz of an 80% Merino, 20% Tussah silk blend, in a colorway called "Rose Garden." I have approximately 3 oz of this fiber, which I have split and split and split again...
These are two of the "splits" in question, already pre-drafted and ready to spin...which is what I did tonight. :)
The colors are not nearly this drab IRL - I really wish I had a G4 iPhone right now, cuz a flash might have come in handy... LOL
I did take some pictures with my regular Canon camera, so I'll try to get those uploaded when I crawl out of bed in the morning afternoon. LOL
In other exciting news, I got my leave for August approved, and today bought tickets to go to GA to see courts, and Pittsburgh to see momma_dar and some douchebag named David Cook, with his crutches bandmates Andy Skib and Neal Tiemann, IDEK...
Both girls apparently have a "things to do/see" list for us, when I get there? IDK... But it's frickin' AWESOME. :D
