Some folk are lookin' at fixin' up a couple places as shelters, so's we got somewhere safe ahead of time for injured and non-combatants next time there's an attack. Right now we're thinkin' on the gymnasium up at the school for one, so if you got an objection to that, can think of another place, or got a suggestion for a second one, it'd be good

I know you mortals have to eat, so if something really bad happens, would squirreling away some provisions for you all be useful? Just in case we have to be down there for very long. I can grow and dry fruit in bulk or something.

That's a great idea! Ain't no way of tellin' ahead of time how long we'd be in there, so storin' some food in case it's a good while would be very useful.

Is there anything that holds up particularly well as far as other foods go? I can just requisition it all at once when it's finished, as well as seeds.

I'll be sure to keep you all well fed if there's any sort of attack~

Rice an' grains are good, far as plants go. 'Course, the preparin' might be a problem if we don't got much by way of water or heat. Nuts are good too, for protein.

For other things, dried an' salted meat holds up decent for a fair while, an' anything in a can'll last half of forever, if we do some requisitionin'.

Come to think of it, we should probably figure somethin' to ensure water supply, in case we're there long.

Have you heard of Sailor Mercury? She's the one that purified the water in the lake -- she'd be really good to get a hold of as far as water is concerned, I would think.

Mostly, though, I was thinkin' of workin' out a reservoir of sorts. If folk do disappear real frequent-like, the more we get near to self-sustainin', the better.
