Seems a bit strange, feeling cooped up here when I'm used to living somewhere so much smaller as can't be left easily just 'cause I want to stretch my legs. Guess that means it's about time to go exploring, see if I can get the lay of the land. And the people. Woulda done it sooner, too, but I guess I lost track of time ( Read more... )

I think many get water from the lake, but I think that Indiego has made it so that we have running water.

Running water's gotta come from somewhere, though. Even if there's just a reclamation system going.

That's true. Maybe it call just comes from the lake then? I'm not really sure myself.

Could be. Be a good source, seeing as there ain't so many of us here as would overtax it too bad. Especially if they do recycle water.

Might have to look for a pumping station or the like, just to see.

I don't think I've ever seen anything that looks like a pumping station? before. Then again, I might not know what to look for.

Gotta say, I ain't entirely sure I'd peg it on sight, either. Would at home, easy as breathing, but I don't think folk here use the same sorta technology.

Heck, even if I don't find one, I'm sure I'll still see something worth seeing.

What do they look like in your world?

Like a building on the outside, with a whole bunch of pipes running in. Ones on my planet got a lot of heavy duty filtration, on account of some of the minerals in the ground being none too healthsome to drink, but I don't know if that's a problem here. Ain't so everywhere.

Oh, they're definitely interesting! Ain't so much the looks as the workings. Might be simple, but that's sometimes best.

I'll letcha know if I find one.
