Boba Fett - The Lamest Bounty Hunter In The Galaxy?
Us Star Wars fans know how much of a badass Boba Fett is. We know of his adventures and how he ultimately escaped the Sarlacc pit that the uninformed believe was his fate. However, Boba Fett doesn’t come across like one of the most feared bounty hunters in the galaxy in the films. Here’s the impression he makes:
Episode IV - A New Hope
Fett is in the docking bay where the Millenium Falcon is being kept during Jabba The Hutt’s meeting with Han Solo. Standing around like a badass there, Boba!
Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back
We see him with Darth Vader during his talk with the group of bounty hunters hired to capture Han Solo and later in the room where the ambush takes place. Our final moments with Fett see him loading the freshly-Carbonited Solo onto the Slave I and then flying away. Nothing too crazy here!
Episode VI - Return Of The Jedi
He’s at Jabba’s Palace at the start of the film, and then on the skiff that takes the captured Rebels to the Sarlacc Pit. During their attempt to escape, Fett flies over to the Rebels, fires a few shots and then his jetpack gets damaged. This causes him to fly into Jabba’s sail barge wall and then fall into the pit where he will find a new definition of pain and suffering as he is slowly digested over a thousand years. Way to fail, Boba!
Episode II - The Clone Wars
He’s a 12 year old with an annoying voice who ends up cradling his father’s severed head. Plot that revenge, Mr. Fett!
None of this really paints a great picture of our favourite bounty hunter, does it? It proves that you only have to look like a badass to be considered a badass. Stay tuned to The Bubblegum Gang for an upcoming chance to show your appreciation for one of the deadliest bounty hunters that ever lived.
