Oh, Vexen probably went to see to Luxord. I hope Luxord hasn't managed to blow his house up by the time our mad scientist gets there.

Ooooh!!! Was that Luxord he was talking about? But I thought the two of them were friends. He seemed so angry with him when he left. *shrugs*

Ah, they are friends, but you know how Vexen is. He's very grudging, and Luxord teases him quite a bit. He's a bit sensitive, our Vexen. *mentally pets* And Luxord just showed up at his house without... telling him...

I do understand, it’s just funny to me. That’s all. Hehe, you know what’s really funny? Vexen tries to be all cold and stand-off-ish, but I think he’s really more sensitive then me! …Well maybe not more but close! If it were me, I’d be really happy if one of my friends decided to randomly pop up for a surprise visit. But I guess Vexen just doesn’t like surprises, huh? …I’ll have to remember that.

But Rikku, you're also more sociable and ... spontaneous than Vexen. As a scientist, he's very calculated and linear, to the point, if you will. So yes, I suppose Vexen doesn't like surprises. I say we find out when his birthday is and throw him a surrpise party, just to scorn him.

But we can teach him to be more spontaneous. He’s just been hanging around with stools for a little too long. With a tiny bit of help, I’m sure we can even find him a boyfriend in time! *determined look*

Oh course he is! Everybody needs somebody to love, even if they are anti-social lab nerds like Vexen! And he may seem content now, but just think how happy he would be if he had a boyfriend too! He’d be double as happy!!!

Ah, I think the one thing we should leave alone is Vexen's love life. If a particularly perfect match to Vexen walks into your coffeeshop, maybe, but otherwise I don't think he'd be pleased we're having this conversation. He seems pretty content with himself.

That's fine. I'll just stay at the coffeeshop until you're done, and then we can walk home together. I don't need a gift, Rikku--it's something a friend would do, that is all.
