So. Gone With The Blastwave combined with The Wasteland.
This city has deteriorated
The pavement's broken, the windows are gone
Our subway trains have run their last
And everything we knew is sporadic at best.
So we found amongst the rubble that used to be our home
A taint of madness, a spark of caprice
And a cancerous growth
This is consumption, the wasting disease
Spreading through the torn down buildings
To the vandals and the vagrants and all of the violent
Like a virus unchecked, people are untethered
And now we keep to ourselves in the stones
Where we've eked out existence not worth having
Streetlights flicker above abandoned cars
And one by one they are failing
Who will replace them when the last one dies?
Is everything a desecrated shell
Of what it once was?
Puddles of polluted water, acidic smells and fog
Apocalyptic nights
Every day sees poison haze
Leak from beneath the streets
Empty hands, glassy eyes, hollow hearts.
This wasteland is touching everything.
