[welcome to healin!! everyone and anyone is free to come and visit Rufus while he takes a day off to sort out everything at home and wait for some permits to come through (also, it might have something to do with the fact that he can't be in the office today.

so, he's here, just trying to get his home life in order- or just stress clean, whatever

[Tyki had been considering going to visit his old frienemy Rufus personally for a while, now that he was back. A little bird had told him Rufus was in Healin, not working for a day, so he hopped in his car and hopped his way over to the familiar building.

Then he strolled in through the - closed - front door]

Hello, Rufus.

[Of all the times to be walked in on wearing the worst clothes and holding kitty litter, of course Tyki chooses this time to show up. Rufus's face remains impassive, though gradually transforms into his usual scowl.]

You're alive.

[Tyki doesn't say anything about the clothes and the kitty litter. He just grins, slow and amused, then pastes on a cheerful face as if nothing had happened]

Of course~ Did you miss my introduction?

[Oh sure, go ahead and try it. You know what'll happen, and it'll only involve kitty litter on the floor and the wall behind him]

Ah, so you did see. How nice. And how are things going with you, my friend?

[:( he can't even have the pleasure of seeing kitty poo on his face.]

Fine. [he's not going to ask him how he is.]

Excellent. [He doesn't care] And of course you'll be wanting me to do odd jobs for you, from time to time, now that I'm back?

It depends if you do want to do those odd jobs.

[Tyki shrugs, spreading his hands.] I might be inclined to, if they're fun odd jobs.

I'll think about it. [GOD DON'T YOU FEEL THE WAVES OF HOSTILITY JUST RADIATING OFF OF HIM?]

[He has no idea what he ever did to deserve this treatment, Rufus] And I'll shop around for other bidders, I guess~ I just thought you might deserve first shot at me.

[you're a bastard that drops in unexpected and sees Rufus not pristine that is WHY.] And you think that I can't outbid the others?

[As if he hasn't seen Rufus worse off before~] Perhaps you could, if you were sufficiently motivated. [Grin] So, our previous arrangement, then?

[He doesn't take it right away. You remember he worked on commission, right?] Five grand, up front, and I'll be happy to do it.

Think of it as an apology for barging in uninvited.
