TM Topic 227 - 3 am
It is the middle of the night. Machi has lost most sense of time being locked away from everyone else. She knows when it is day and night from the light that radiates from the windows but nothing more than that. Clocks and other devices such as that prove little use in her elegantly decorated room. One could call it her elegantly decorated prison cell. Machi knows that leaving the house wasn’t permitted nor was having any outsider in.
The only reason that Machi was even awake at this time is because of the stones that someone keeps pelting at her window. Annoyed, Machi opens the window and calls out, “Can’t a princess in a tower get some rest?”
Kakeru appears from the shadow. Machi frowns. “Brother… you know that you can come up here and visit me. You don’t need to throw stones at my window.”
Kakeru smirks. “What is the fun in that? Besides, it’s 3 am! The perfect time to rescue the princess from her prison!” Kakeru drags out all his rescue equipment to ‘save’ Machi.
Machi frowns and states, “It won’t work. You‘ll only get yourself in trouble for being stupid.”
“How do you figure that?”
“Father is behind you.”
Kakeru turns around to see that Machi is correct. With a smile at the not so pleased look on their father’s face, Kakeru grabs his rescue gear and runs. Machi rolls her eyes. “Idiot.”
