TM Topic 224 and 227 - Mad and Recommend a Book
It is funny that people are asking me to recommend a book. After the incident with Tohru, most people are avoiding all people associated with the Sohma family. I feel a deep regret for not being able to help Tohru when she was thrown off that cliff. Akito has truly gone mad. The truth about it has finally been brought to the front. No more denying that Akito is as insane as we all know he is.
The only bright side to this is I now know that my father truly cares for my well-being. He is worried about Akito hurting me. Of course, the only way he knows how to protect me is to lock me away from the world. I could laugh at the thought of it if it wasn’t so sad.
The window to my left is the only view of the outside world I have. It looks so lovely outside today. I wonder if I will ever be out in the sunshine again. It’s no use thinking about that. The present is all that matters at the moment. I still need to recommend a book.
I think I’ll recommend Gosick by Kazuki Sakuraba. It is a light novel series that my brother brought me recently. It is his twisted little joke about my current situation. The series is about a brilliant yet eccentric young girl who is lock up in the conservatory of a prestigious academy. Brilliant yet eccentric young girl… locked away from the outside world… I assume my point is evident. Even though it is his joke at my expense, the series is very well written. It is a mystery series and it very much reminds me of the old Sherlock Holmes book.
I hope that my brother continues to bring the rest of that series to me. I also hope other people enjoy that series too. Mostly, I just hope.
