Machi sits at her worktable in the remote part of the Sohma temple. It is peaceful and not a single person nor spirit is around to bother her. She is still looking through the old record books of this mysterious temple. It has lasted since the beginning of the Juunishi legend. All accounts of what they are and what they have done is recorded in there.
Machi is not interested in their past as much as how the Sohmas have the “privilege” to be the hosts for the Juunishi. It was destined to happen some would say. Machi truly wondered if it is a gift or a curse that had been placed on the Sohmas. The only thing she wanted is for her friends to be happy. To have to live the life given to them by destiny is not the live they wanted. They want to be free and they deserve to be free.
Even with all the magical knowledge the books provided, Machi was not sure if it is possible to free the Sohmas. She saw how they suffer from their destined bond. She, along with several other people, have been determined to help their friends as best as they could. The really problem is that none of them knew the magic it would take to break the curse.
Machi would give anything to be able to get that potion to free the Sohmas but that is a fool’s idea. After all, what kind of potion has the power to defy God? If a potion like that does exist, what would have to reality of which God has influenced?
