About 20 years Florida was full of cool animals - gopher tortoises and the ilk all over where we lived. Development drove them out and they never returned, taking my yearly trips down to Florida I have seen many new species gaining a foothold and its refreshing. If the imports can hold their own and survive where others falter, good.
