So I apparently...
took baton twirling lessons when I was younger. I was watching a video of an old dance recital I was in when I was five-ish (haha, totally getting ideas for camp) and three little girls walked onstage. The middle one had all these Shirley Temple curls and my mom used to do my hair like that all the time. Then the little girl in the middle dropped her baton and had to chase it across stage and all these memories came crashing back. Haha. The little girl was me. I was totally afraid of the baton (I thought I was going to throw it up and hit myself, so I would throw it and then duck.) Scary stuff.
