Ten: For once, I am thrilled at the lack of sand

Well, that was traumatic. I think I'll take my home (either of them) being attacked again over that.

Caterina's okay! Oh, kitten, I was really worried about you. [said kitten is currently residing on top of Zell's head]

So, uh, Abel! You won the naming contest. I... don't really have a prize?

New people! Always interesting to have them. We seem to be having a population boom. This keeps up, we might reach 200. Or are we there already? I don't know.

So, Sam, I didn't get to study my Latin on account of the city being a ruined desert, but I'll start again. Oh god, those nouns. You just don't need that many forms of them. Twenty is a bit excessive.

I'm liking this having pets thing. Maybe I'll get an actual fishtank, instead of hiding a goldfish underneath my dorm bed. I did that once, in an act of teenage rebellion. Look, I was 13. You don't have to tell me how lame that was.

So... am I the only person who didn't see any of these shade-ghost-things during the time the city was wrecked? If so, does anybody know why I have this distinction?
