After constant interruptions in the form of sudden apocalypse, genderswitching, storms, curses, and loss of abilities, I am FINALLY READY to start Suicide Dodgeball in Template.
What's Suicide Dodgeball? It's really about what it sounds like!
Rules:
- Rules change every session. If you have a suggestion, tell the moderators (Selphie or me) and we'll try to work it in.
- Most weapons are not allowed. Bo and Jo staffs are allowed, but only for whacking the ball away from you and in use of tripping. Hitting or sweeping is strictly against the rules---we don't want anybody getting maimed or killed.
- Magic is allowed. No high-level spells, please. Since Template has such diversity, all magic must be preapproved with the mods before use.
- If you feel you have things that could be helpful, bring them! Skates are encouraged, as are pads and helmets. Bring anything---tennis rackets, hockey sticks, whatever! Be creative, that's half the fun.
- If you are ridiculously powerful and wish to play, a handicap WILL be established for you.
- If you have it, bring curative magic. It's a rough game. Accidents can and do happen with some frequency. If you don't want to whacked in the head on a regular basis, this is probably not the game for you.
- This is a CONTACT SPORT. People will be slamming into you.
- If you're injured to the point in which you don't wish to play anymore, put up your left hand (or, if it's bad enough, just scream). This is a signal that you're getting out of the arena. Players that deliberately go for people with their hands up will be immediately ejected from the game and may not be allowed back.
- If somebody starts screaming, the entire game will stop until the person in question is safe.
The first game will be starting at 11:00 AM tomorrow at Barker Stadium! Since it's the first game for Template, we'll be holding a practice session at 10:30 AM. Please come at 9:30 AM for approval of your gear and magic. This will also be when handicaps are established.
