Because what Rider really needs right now for his hangover is a Waver rantvelvet_cakeApril 12 2011, 14:43:11 UTC
Rider!
[Yeah, Waver's looking flustered today, what else is new. Though, this time it's because he just woke up next to some woman claiming to be his wife and, more alarmingly, his command seals and magic crest were missing.]
Where are we? How did I get to America? I just woke up in bed next to some woman who thinks she's my wife, I never got married. [He waved a hand in frustrated dismissal, not that Rider could see this over the telephone.] And more importantly, I can't find my magic crest or my command spells. And why the hell are you looking for poetry right now?!
Oi, kid. Calm down. I'm happy to see you too, but I've got a bit of a headache after last night's indulgence.
[YOUR HEAD IS NOW THROBBING TOO, WAVER.]
Ohohoho, a wife, you say? I see you're finally living like a man! Though, I don't see why you're so worried. There's no grail here, even though there's a lot of Servants present.
Kiddo, I can't seem to find my copy at all. This place took everything from us without saying a word, without us even knowing. Like a common, lowly thief.
I don't really quite know how we got here, but it's a great place to start conquering, don't you think? Taking down the biggest obstacles to world conquest first.
And hey, since there's plenty of people from other worlds here, there's probably even more worlds for us to conquer!
orz, spelling error. Sorry!velvet_cakeApril 13 2011, 01:58:34 UTC
[Dammit, Rider, you're not helping.]
W-what?! I don't even know her! I've never seen her before! [And it's not like Waver would know what to do with a wife, anyway.] Never mind that, anyway, it's not important. [He doesn't even want to get into what Rider means by 'living like a man'.]
We need to focus on getting back to Fuyuki City and the Grail War, not on conquering this place. But if I don't have the command seals for you... then who's your Master? And what do you mean by 'people from other worlds'?
There is no grail war here, kid. No need to worry about that when we've got a bigger fish to fry. We can worry about that after we link this place and Fuyuki. After all, what kind of a conqueror would I be if I left this world behind? Besides, I'm human now, my wish has been granted through an error in whoever's behind this place's ways. We should focus on conquering!
I met a guy from space! He said a lot of fancy things that I'm not really sure of, but he was quite the man. Bout as big as me, even. Isn't that something, huh? Also met a tiny kraken with the heart of a conqueror.
Just because we are in different places, Waver, does not change the fact that you are my subject, my Master, and my friend.
[So Rider had gotten his wish-- Waver still had to figure out how he was going to get his own, then. Without the Holy Grail, a Servant, or even working magic circuits, that seemed like an even more daunting task than before.]
You really want to conquer every world you come across, don't you? Well... so long as we get back to Fuyuki, we might as well use your methods. [And trying to argue with Rider was about as useful as banging his head against a wall, anyway.]
Space men and tiny kraken? Are you making fun of me, telling me these ridiculous things?
... [Friend. It made something twist in his chest to hear Rider say that word.] ...hey, where are you right now, anyway?

[PRIORITIES, RIDER. GET YOU SOME.]

[He'll laugh at Waver's statemnt] I'm happy to hear you say that.
I ain't lying, boy. This place has some interesting people in it, wouldn't hurt to mingle a bit as I have.

Hm... I suppose so. [Waver, being social?] You said you'd seen other Servants around. Which ones? [Please, not Caster. Not Caster.]

There's another Rider here and another Archer, too. Haven't met them yet, I don't think...
Where you at, boy? [HOORAY FOR USING LINGO AHEAD OF THE 1950'S TO FIT IN]

... [No, Rider. Just no.] ...Anderson, house 728.
