It is quite unusual for me to get really worked up by the Blair Government. With one hand they tear down civil liberties, traditions, the armed forces, the pensions scheme etc and I merily go on my way without being overly concerned. I think you may well have missed the point of this, but I will try and answer your points as well.
1.) I said that it was closer to nature for one type of animal to kill another than it was for humans to kill foxes with gas and snares. Not too controversial I don't think.
2.) i agree that it is distasteful for people to get pleasure out of killing foxes. I find many other things unpleasant but that is not a reason to ban them. In a battle between civil liberties and my personal views I think that liberties are more important.
3.) Ah, misrepresentation, every debater's favourite trick whe they can't make an answer. I said fix-hunting was less efficient than the alternatives. If you had read what I said then you would be aware I said it was better from a foxes perspective as they have a better chance of survival and if they get caught the death is preferable to snares and gas. See 1.)
4.)The only study even attempted on the stress encountered by foxes indicated that they were more pressurised when chasing for food than when being chased. Personally I think anthropomorthising animals is stupid and based on assertion, but the evidence doesn't support your position even if that point of view is taken.

As I concluded, oppose fox-hunting because you dislike fox-hunters, but don't pretend it is anything other than a mean-spirited attepmt to force other people to accept your values!
