a Mardi Gras to remember...or at least try to remember

Okay, so I can hardly remember what I did at all these past few days. This was the BEST Mardi Gras I have EVER had!

My godchild, Gracie Faye, was born on Friday. Chase and I went out that night and slept until like 2ish on Saturday. I did't drink but I still had fun! We went to the hospital that night and then back to Chase's house to watch The 40 year Old Virgin! Good MOVIE! I laughed alot. So Sunday, I got up, raced home, got ready in under 15 minutes, races BACK to Thibodaux, to make it to the first parade of this year for me. Got drunk, went downtown, DONEGAN was there! For those of you who know him well, its ODD! BUT STILL AWESOME!

We danced in the streets of downtown. Random men, drinks, dancing, pizza, friends, more booze, WASTEDNESS (may not be a word), and just having fun made that night awesome. We left around 10ish (really tired) thanks to Lillian for bringing us home. And we were sleeping by 12.

Monday we didn't do much, being as we were both tired. But, I did go to Hope's grandpa's funeral. First funeral...i think. Poor Hope Waggie! Anna Banana Hammick and Donegan were there as well as Puddin'. Hope was MUCH happier today (Tuesday...Happy Mardi Gras!). She drank, and danced. We got hit with beads at the parade. Chase and I coundn't figure out what time it started...1 or 2. Donegan DRANK! SHOCKER! WTF!

We went downtown after and I saw SO MANY PEOPLE. I had a blast. Me and Maggie bonded and we r going out Thrusday...call if u wanna come. (For a good time call, 867-5309)

Downtown was the best. I talked to people I would NEVER have convo's with, I danced with people I would have NEVER danced with. and not b/c they r not good people r they r nasty or b/c i am better (haha)...it is b/c they r "popular" and I am not and with alcohol I felt comfortable. As ALWAYS!

So I danced in the streets, I partied, some people bought my alcohol...yum, I got WASTED!, someone called me Sherry (my name is Shelly...), like Micheal has on his away msg "what a great mardi gras" I had a blast. I can't remember HALF the stuff I did, but I know I had fun. I came home with BLACK feet, beads galore, bruises in places I dont know HOW they got there, a headache, tired, red, smelling, sore, and happy as can be! I can't say that I have EVER had a BETTER Mardi Gras. It could be that I am 18 now, or it also could be that I OPENED up this year. I told myself WHAT THE HECK!?! at the beginning of this year and I am living that phrase.

This was the BEST Mardi Gras, one that will last me a lifetime, one that I may never top being as HALF those people I may only see every 5 years, and I am so happy to have had this year.

They say senior year is your best year, and so far, it has been AWESOME!!!!!
