Very tiring day

So my company was moving offices this weekend. yes...don't get me started on the whole moving on Halloween weekend thing.

I was at the old office till like 8:30pm last night unwiring and packing all of the server gear.

Got up around 6am this morning, drove to the new office to unload Tina's car.
The access cards for the new building which were SUPPOSED to be working on Saturday morning...yeah they weren't.
I go in and bug the security guys and they knew we were coming so they give me access to the new suite and lock down the freight elevator for me.

I unload the car, call one of my bosses to tell him that the all the stuff from the previous tenant's moving company was STILL piled up in our reception area. Of course said boss didn't answer so I had to leave a voicemail. I don't know what I was thinking when I thought he MIGHT be up at 7am getting ready to come help.

I head back to the old building to get another load of stuff. Get a text message from him that he knew and was on his way to the new office. I managed to load the car again, get to the new office, and unload before he showed up.

I then head back to the old office to meet up with the movers and our head of HR who is camped out over there now waiting for the movers.

I spend the next serveral hours helping her and the movers get everything loaded up in their trucks. I load my car AGAIN.

I go back to the new office and spend the rest of the day till about 10:30pm tonight reracking the servers, wiring up the network switches, getting the new phone system online, getting the internet running, and getting all but one of my servers back up and online.

By the time I left our Cisco ASA was reconfigured, the VPN tunnel to my house was running again, the phone system was online, the internet was working, I'd sent all the DNS changes to our co-lo provider, and the servers were all tucked away happily in their new rack and new room.

I had a few of the dev guys just go "holy shit dude....you so fucking rock!"

I did make a couple mistakes that I'll have to go fix.
2 of the servers got the network cable plugged into the wrong network interface obviously. (hey....it's been a really long day)
I'll also need to tweak the way the phone system is networked until I get the new license for our ASA.

All and all I think I did a pretty bad ass fucking job with the time table I had available.
