So I skipped SAT Prep (to avoid extreme brain cell loss) and went to musical rehearsal instead, and OMG I AM SO GLAD I DID, because we're doing DANCE OF THE ROBE FROM AIDA!!! (*SCREAM!*)
And no one was quite as excited as I was.
Le sigh.
Anyway, Ruqayyah wasn't there (silly lazy senior), so Kathleen filled in on Elphaba and we rehearsed "What Is This Feeling?" for like ten minutes straight, just because it was so much fun. Kathleen at one point started doing growly Idina Menzel voice and we were absolutely cracking up. And Addie's song is gorgeous (though I totally forgot which one it was), and Bryanna sounds great doing Elphaba in her song. (Which is...um...oh, shit.)
BUT WE'RE DOING DANCE OF THE ROBE!
It's going to rock. Pretty much incessantly. That's really all I have to say. Except for that I'm really annoyed that my break notes are middle G, A, and A flat, because "What Is This Feeling?" ends on a G for me.
Off to practice. (Inner voices are really hard to learn when you've been singing the melody since the age of nine.)
