So it's been a busy week. I had planned on posting last night, but Pete dragged me out of the house to go with him back down to the hospital. Wednesday, our niece, Kaylee Marie was born. 8lbs, 11 oz. Both mom and little one are doing fine. I went down yesterday at lunch to visit, then got to go back down last night. She's cute. and yes, I am slightly jealous. I was watching Pete with her last night-and imagining. But anyways. So we're excited about the new arrival.
I had training for work at the beginning of this week on software. I like getting out of the office-but by day three I almost couldn't wait to get back to the office (isn't that a scary thought) then when I did go back to the office-I almost wanted to go back to training. My big boss stopped by first thing the day I came back-apparently, I am getting more responsibility in a different area than I normally work (but is the area in which I had software training). And supposedly, I get to cross train part of my job. In the grand scheme of things-this is a good thing, but in the grand scheme of things-it is going to be a stressful thing. Best part is, all of this is coming about and I still have most of my vacation time.
Other than that, life is same old, same old I think. We're still gonna both be a TRU. Me two nights a week and for now-Pete's only gonna work one. He starts his new job Monday-so things are going to get pretty interesting-trying to get into a routine again and chore splitting and blah blah blah. We're gonna go visit my side of the family this weekend cuz tomorrow is my mom and dad's 39th anniversary (Go mom and dad!) We have Pete's family reunion coming up at the end of the month and still a lot of work to do on that-so life will be busy the month of August. I can't wait to take vacation time in September. Although-now that's all messed up because Pete may not get the time off. Always something it seems. Oh well, what can ya do.
Well, I'm off to work-still trying to catch up from being out three days!
As always, thanks for reading and have a GREAT day!
