FTC Nixes Net Neutrality "Broad regulatory mandates that employ a 'one size fits all' philosophy, without regard to specific facts, always have unintended consequences, some of which may be harmful and some of which may not be known until far into the future, "

My ass. The Internet has been "flat" since its inception. That was how it was designed. And it's grown from accommodating mostly text and small file transfers to supplying full blown streamed audio and video. There were chicken littles in the late 90s/early 2000s saying that the Internet would collapse under this weight... and yet it keeps chugging on. What sort of "unintended consequences" is she referring to?
The inability of the telcos to line more of their suits with
platinum threading?
Maybe the consequences of large, established sites and online companies being able to pay for prioritized service, while smaller and less monetarily endowed sites and companies get the proverbial shaft... effectively putting up a significant barrier to competition.
Well, the Internet as we've known it is slowly coming to an end. Mankind invents something innovative and world-changing... and greedy assholes, corporations and government (is there any difference between the three anymore?) waltz in and take a huge steaming shit on it.
Meh.
EDIT: TWO middle fingers!
Congress to allow spoiled meat in your local supermarket!
Thanks again, guys!
