Um, golly. Hell sure is chilly today...
Yeah, so Rush Limbaugh actually said something yesterday that I didn't disagree with.
This was in response to a caller on his show that made the same Jack Thompson/Dr. Phil leaps of logic (which I bitched about previously), trying to pin blame for Viginia Tech shootings on video games:
"Not every video gamer goes out and murders 33 people on the college campus though. There's more to this than that. We can find all kinds of societal problems and ills, but the fact of the matter is that whatever you would look at as a bad influence -- video games as you mentioned -- it may desensitize people, but it doesn't turn everybody into mass murderers."
I'm glad there's at least one major public figure with a voice and an audience looking at this tragedy objectively.
