I hate my job!! I hate my boss!!
Working at a gas station is not brain surgery or construction, it is not rocket science!! You play cashier, dust and organize product, and take out the trash and put out towels and make sure the squeegee water is full and clean... see not hard, but my boss has taken away our air conditioner, our silent alarm, our camera's, and put us in a bad place.
The average temp in the summer time, is 88 degrees. The candy has melted and cooled that it tastes nasty and looks it too. It's hard so you can't eat it. The register is now facing the window. Our backs are to the window, so our customers can look in and see what we're doing and everything. The sun comes straight in in the afternoon, so you can't see what your doing and the customers are blinded, and it also heats up the place even more.
My co-worker on average works 80 hours a week, and doesn't get paid time and a half. WHICH is ILLEGAL according to federal law, not mention working so much!
My boss is a penny pinching, arrogant, stuck up, lying, two faced, lazy, greedy scrooge!!
He can afford paying us properly, but won't. He's always taking trips, and vacations. He use to buy a new car every year, he right now drives a Hummer. A HUMMER!!! can you believe that!
One time the cameras went down for 3 months and for those 3 months I complained. It wasn't until we, or should I say 'I', was robbed that he finally did something about it. AFTER it was over, and the perps got away!! We've been under construction for over a year. He started when he didn't even have all the permits, or order the this we need, like the floor, or ceiling, or what have you. There was a time when there was nothing between me and a customer, I had one customer less than a foot away from me and an open register. NO counter!! I bitched for days, weeks, till I finally got something.
I really only have 3 things to be pissed about, well 4.
1. No air conditioner.
2. lack of security.
3. No time and a half ( which is against Federal Law)
4. no proper cooling for candy, but selling it anyway.
I'm going to send a complaint to the Better Business Bureau.
Hopefully they can do something.... before one of us gets hurt!!
Just recently my eye lid started twitching. TWITCHING!!!! The doctor said it was due to stress. Stress... I wonder what could have caused that!! I feel like I'm gonna have an ulcer from working here.
I hate this place!! But I can't leave cause the hours work around my school schelude, and are flexible. I've been looking for another job, but 3 jobs I could have, have training during the time I have classes, and the training is not flexible.. so no go on those. *Sigh*
I need a sugar daddy or something.. yea, like that's ever gonna happen.
