doggies on the brain
i just found out that dave matthews has only acted in 2 movies, both about dogs. it turns out that one of those movies is my favorite book in the entire world - Where the Red Fern Grows. i read it first in 5th grade and have read it several times since. its the only book i have ever read more than once. for me reading a book more than once says a lot about the book because i usually only read about 1 book a year. Where the Red Fern Grows is about a boy who saves up to get 2 hunting dog and his adventures with them. its a dog book - i cant help but love it. my second favorite book is marley and me - also about a life with a dog. recently i also found out that i come from a very long line of dog lovers - something that i was completely clueless about until visiting michigan last week. my father told me that he loves dogs (so much so that he wants me to send him pictures every day of jasper) and his father loved dogs and that his fathers father loved dogs. its in your genes he said. it got me thinking that maybe, just maybe, me finding this info out about my family and then about my favorite music man is a sign that it all comes down to one common denominator..... DOGS.
