"Sleep Deprivation and the Modern College Student" (Or, "I'm an Idiot")
Well, today was fun. I had one class today. One. Anthropology. Its a good class, very interesting, nice professor; I usually sit right up front. All I had to do was stay awake for 45 minutes. That's it, just stay awake. So what did I do?
I conked out about halfway through the class.
Now, keep in mind I'm sitting up at the front table, right in front of the prof; everyone is looking at me, since I'm right in their line of sight. No one bothers to wake me up. I believe I was snoring.
The class period ends, and I wake up to find my prof standing over me while everyone else is clearing out snickering. I'm mortified and apologize profusely, but the prof, thank God, has a sense of humor and is cool about it. This isn't the first time I've fallen asleep during class, but never on display for everybody, and never in front of an instructor.
No more late-night anything for a while... -_-;;
