(no subject)
Hello one and all. This is an actual post by ME!!!
So let me see, the update: The show season has FINALLY ended! And all this show cost me was 5 or so nights of sleep, $50.00 in emergency room vists, and a bad case of hives. H2$ was a success all around, everynight was over sold and a lucky thing that the fire marshal didn't come in. What would normally be a 3 day strike was accomplished in 1 and 1/2 days to do. The set was a one day strike, and the lights, costumes, props and other cleaning tid-bits took the half day. So now I'm setting up platforms for graduation and doing odds and ends for last minute things. The next step is to figure out my student designers for next year and set-up for a dance concert and the summer program, which I gratefully have nothing to do with.
I think for myself, I'm going to see what it takes to get my final teaching licence. And then get the union to change my unit and all these other things to get me more money. I'm not paid enough for what I do and the time I put in. According to the school, I should put in a maximum of 35 hours a week. I actually put in on a typical week around 60 + hours. This is usually, 1 pm - 11 pm Monday - Friday, and 9 am - 7 pm Saturday.
For the summer, I have 3 concert gigs, lots of time off with my wife and one or two road trips in mind, plus vaction of going to Pennsic and then seeing Kalisti23's almamater (spelling?). I really can't wait. I think I have to pick up a bike, what are good prices for bicycles?
Other news and fun: We are finally compleatly moved into our new apartment. The landlords are great, I don't hear their kids, and the dog (Fido) is really cute. Diablo and the bunny are having fun trying to playfully kill eachother, and I'm looking forward to a long rest.
