Freak out from reading about spiders *shivers*

I should have known better than to pick up any books that have a spider element in it. And from reading rakina's story - The Spinner and Slightly Arachnophobic. With just a glimpse of spiders and webs in the garage, it had already freaked me out.

Imagine a valley or a dungeons fill of massive numbers of spiders.. *shudders* *fainted* -- it gave me spiders-induced nightmares, I think I hardly slept last night.

Why did I ever pick up the book Academ's Fury by Jim Butcher? Should have remembered that scene from Furies of Calderon - book one. They had a valley of spiders and they use the word "croach". Eww..

Probably from all the f-list's sudden frenzy of book discussions that I picked up this book. I missed holding a book and turning the pages and smelling the smell of paper. Kinda hard for me to adjust to reading on computer screen. It's just isn't the same as reading books. Those I.T. ages... *sigh*

However, I think I will continue to read that next instalment Cursor's Fury if I could ever bear to pick it up and forget spiders. Gross...

It's a nice enough book to engross in and to be grossed out. *grin* Interesting use of magical elements - wind, metal, water, fire etc. It's about a boy with no *magic*. So nice. Almost like Harry Potter, always in the midst of trouble with a capital "T".

Dear friends, please, please include warnings if it has something about spiders who featured strongly in your story. *shudders*

p.s. Yeah, I freaked out when I was watching that scene in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets *shudders*
