It's a girl!
Well, not yet, but in September!
Today I went to see the other doctor today about the blood clotting disorder that runs on my dad's side of the family. I didn't get any blood drawn mostly because they told me that the lab that they have downstairs (Labcorp) sucks and if they sent it there and got a wonky result, I would still have to go to the clinic at Duke hospital, so I'm going there tomorrow. But that's not the fun part, they did the 2nd trimester ultrasound to check for other abnormalities and luckily there is nothing physically wrong with the baby, which is good. Anyways, I found out many things: 1) Lump is really a Lumpette, 2) Lumpette moves around a whole lot, 3) Is camera shy at first, but then will warm up to it and then will become shy again and not show the technician her heart. So at least she's active and healthy and as the doctor said, beautiful. However, since they didn't get a good enough look at the heart, I gotta go back on May 21st to see if Lumpette will cooperate. I should get my test results back in 2 weeksish, I'm kinda nervous, but I'm glad technology is better than it was in the last decade to control the blood clotting disorder/disease if I do have it. If I do have it, then I'll have to take 2 shots daily of this blood thinner that starts with an L.
So everything is good, and Lumpette is healthy and developing as she should. Oh yea, and I found out that I'm O+.
Kris and I are thinking about naming her Leona Grace. Leona after Kris' grandmother, and Grace because my childhood bestest friend, Emilie's middle name is Grace...and 'cuz I like it.
