i'm a movement by myself
The travel gods were smiling on me this week.
After the forgotten passport debacle, FedEx came through and my passport was at my office at 8:15 am Tuesday. I dropped all of my paperwork off at the Visa outsourcing office and it was delivered yesterday. Woo! I'm now the proud owner of a 5 year, multiple entry business Visa, so I shouldn't have to go through this song and dance anytime again in the near future.
And! My flight from Portland to Detroit was delayed yesterday - we didn't pull up to our gate until 6:50 pm. Thinking my flight to Minneapolis was departing at 7:11 pm and I had to get my bag from planeside check AND run from the B concourse to the A concourse, I thought I was screwed. However, the flight was delayed 10 minutes or so (awaiting connecting passengers), so I made it with about 4 minutes to spare. I even got to sit in my First Class seat! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this luck and good fortune holds out for the next 48 hours or so as I make my way to India.
Since it's 9 pm and I haven't packed a thing, I should get going. I'm really excited for this adventure!
