My calendar tells me I haven't updated since September 19th. So...off we go.
- Brief work update: still completely crazy. However, I'm not traveling this week, possibly not next week, and I did work in a week-long trip to Sao Paulo, Brazil, in early October to meet my testing team. The place isn't gorgeous, but the people are amazingly kind and the food was to die for. I'd never been to South American and I'm hoping I have a chance to go back so I can visit Rio and some other amazing places in Brazil.
- Things with C are going great. He turns 30 a week from today, so to celebrate, we're heading out to San Francisco on Thursday and then will drive up to Napa on Friday morning for 3 nights. We're planning to hit some of his favorite places on Thursday for snacks and dinner and we'll definitely be drinking lots and lots of wine the 3 days we're in Napa. I'm very much hoping we'll also be able to see miss
willagurl and her mister for some wine tasting and lunch or dinner.
- Bought, have listened to, and have fallen in love with the new John Mayer CD. His last CD was also released in the fall, so his music has become a bit of a fall soundtrack for me. Puts me in a happy place, that's for sure.
- In the last 2 days I have also upgraded my TV, home theater, and media stand. I'm now the proud owner of
this TV, a small home theater system, and a new media stand. The TV and theater system got delivered, but I was on point to buy and put together the media stand. All 123 lbs. of it. To say my arms and shoulders are sore today is an understatement. Now I need to get the HD cable box and pray that it comes with a DVR. Otherwise, I'm not quite sure what I'll do.
- Tickets have been purchased for Justin's and Christina's concerts. I will also be attending the Guns N' Roses show in December.
- I'm sad to see that Studio 60 isn't doing very well and might get canceled. I never watched The West Wing so I'm new to Aaron Sorkin's style of writing and I like it quite a bit. Otherwise, I'm enjoying Grey's, like Desperate Housewives better this season than last, am hoping Lost picks up soon and don't miss Throwdown with Bobby Flay. I also reeeeeeeeeally like Men In Trees, especially Jack, who is completely delicious. It's a given that I'm sucked into Dancing with the Stars and Top Chef, altho I'm enjoying Dancing a lot more than Top Chef.
You'd think after being away for over a month I'd have more to write than this, but this is all I've got. My 7 am call time comes early and I need some beauty sleep.
