Wondering...

Paint Pots, Fluid Lines and Pigments, Oh My!!!

(small edit if interested)

I have just about every paint pot and fluid line that MAC has released with the exception of 1 - Laying' Low from Fafi Collection.  Unfortunately -  they get NO love but I dont have the heart to sell them off since every once in a while I like to dig one out and use it.  I do have some of the rare/htf pp like Stray Grey, Stringalong, the McQueen ones etc.  I also have some hard to find fluid lines like Delphic, Penned, and some others that I cant think of off the top of my head(its been a crazy day at work and I have 3 more hours to go).  Essentially its not really possible to finish them all off in one lifetime as I am guessing most of you wouldn't/couldn't either.  I dont wear all that many color shadows/liners like I used to, Ive turned to more neutral shades or just some mascara when in a hurry.

So the question is:

Would any one be interested in the idea of me selling off some 3 gram jars(I bought about 250 years ago and haven't used many)  possibly half filled or a little more depending on what is left of each product?  They would be sanitized with a spritz or ten(lol) of alcohol(also does any one know if they dry out after being sprayed, I believe I bought a one used one once and sanitized it and it did not) and honestly none of then have been used more than 2-3 times as is since I have purchased them.  I also have backups of some Fafi ones - Nice Vice, Rollickin, Girl Friendly.  There is also Coral Crepe, Morning Frost, Stray Grey and all the Posh Paradise ones that have never been opened, still in boxes. I probably would make larger samples, 5 gram jars of these.

EDIT:  The lovely commenter below pointed out that the cream samples may possibly dry out faster in a plastic sample jar considering there is more air in it.  Would a small round piece of foam from the craft store inserted in the lid suffice in making the seal tighter and maybe even air free.  As far at it closing off the clear top, I can glue the foam to a piece a piece of card stock indicating the color as close as possible to the product, or even just buy multiple colors of foam.  I mean I have an almost 10 year old so even if I never finish the foam she can use it for a craft of her own.

I will definitely include a sample sale of pigments as well, I have over 90 jars plus glitters and reflects. Most being original jars and I will never finish those either in a lifetime.  I dont use them EVER and the same goes for the pigments, most have only been sampled out and used 2-10 times at most.  Lastly, I may consider posting a link within the sample sale to the regular sale items that includes a TOM of limited edition and discontinued lipsticks, shadows, blushes, ccbs, paints, shadesticks and everything else under the sun.  All MAC of course.

All colors will be listed by amount available and have prices next to them. Suggestions for prices are welcome since I haven't really seen many pp/fluid line sample sales, more so for the htf/le/discontinued ones.  Orders will be on a first come first serve basis.  Oh and pics of original usage before samples are removed will be provided for reference in case you aren't sure of what is/has been released over the course if the last few years.  I guarantee all are still creamy and not dried out.

The sale would run for 2 consecutive weeks, maybe 3 depending on the response I get.  Im a little, who am I kidding, very busy at work from now until the end of August and dont have time to post regular sales and if any of you have seen them posted over the last year I have been part of LJ and this community, there are too many items to keep track of. I could REALLLLY use the $ though.

So...with all my ramblings - what are your thoughts?  I will post the sale at some point Saturday, April 7th.
  • Orders placed and paid for by Tuesday 4/10 evening would be shipped by Wednesday 4/11
  • Orders placed and  paid for by Friday 4/13 evening would be shipped out by Saturday 4/14
  • Same conditions would be apply for the following weeks post.

Hope everyone is having a Happy Monday, sigh!
Ive been really distracted at work and if any of this doesnt make sense or it needs correcting please let me know!
