Almost Accidentally Acquired
Was supposed to play squash this morning with a couple of friends. But while I was on the bus, one of them smsed to say that the other had booked the court from 9-11am and not 11am-1pm as he'd told me the night before.
There we were - at 11am, without a court. So we we went to simpang bedok for brunch, after which I figured I'd take a bus to tanah merah to switch to another that would head to my place. But the friend who had booked the court (who had driven us to simpang bedok) said he'd give me a ride to the bus stop at the expo (where I could take the bus that heads to my place).
Expo… the mph warehouse sale (thanx to uniclycommon for the heads up)… I had to check out it out.
Two hours later, I left with:
1. Unless I'm Very Much Mistaken (hard cover), Murray Walker - $8 (x2)*
2. My Side (hard cover), David Beckham - $8 (x2)*
3. All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten (hard cover), Robert Fulghum - $8
4. Dude, Where's My Country? (paperback), Michael Moore - $6
5. Rules for Revolutionaries (paperback), Guy Kawasaki - $6
6. Stupid White Men (paperback), Michael Moore - $5
7. Mr Wright (paperback), Ian Wright - $5*
*one copy of #1, both copies of #2 and #7 picked up for friends
