Canada Day with Bučan Bučan
What a tiring day! First we played in the Sidney parade, of which there are two videos!
Here we are playing Opa Cupa:
And here we are by the judges' station, hamming up the intro to Hora Andalusia:
After the parade, I went home, and then headed to the beach with
janice_mandy and Heather, where I got sunburnt. Went home, got dressed again, and headed downtown to do some busking on Government Street.
Saw Batu standing around looking very officious in his RCMP duties; got shat on by a seagull; had a cute, young, drunk girl point at me dramatically as her gaggle zipped by and yell out, "YOU'RE REALLY HOT!"; and was told that we were good enough that WE should have been the ones on the main stage of the inner harbour celebrations. All in all, it was an awesome time.
As a bonus, here's some footage from a birthday "shack" party we did a couple weeks back, where I was playing lead trumpet instead of trombone. Video's pretty bad, but it was literally in a shack, so the lighting wasn't too good.
