Courtship List
Here it is, the courtship list I've been working on madly for the last little while.
What I take:
R/NC-17/M fics
Completed fics
Stories the author updates regularly
Stories over 5,000 words
Stories where one character publicly courts another, where there are known and agreed-upon rules for courtship, and where the courtship is done with the result of marriage/bonding and consummation (regardless of a character’s original intention, i.e. “Dumbledore’s Folly”)
Stories where a courtship ensues to protect a character, inherit, for a political alliance, etc- where the courtship isn’t done just because so-and-so loves someone
Stories where the details of the courtship are seen in detail
Any slash pairing

A little about the rating and format:
I use Era/AU to express the time period a story takes place in and the point it peels of from canon in, respectively. If a story is "AU at Book 6", that means it is canon-compliant through Book 5.
The set of numbers below that is the story's "Porn-Prose-Plot" rating. Ratings go from 1-5, with 5 being the best of the best. If you have trouble remembering what order they go in, use the second letter of each word for an orl (pronounced "oral") rating.

The esteem in which he holds it allows him and Harry to get on well through the initial phases, and what was meant as a stalling measure becomes something a great deal more intimate.

Harry learns of his half-Veela inheritance from his mother’s journals, passed to him by Sirius, who never forgave others after all. He conducts a courtship, with ingenious tests, to winnow over 4,000 suitors down to his choice, all the while combating his Veela instincts, which want him to mate. He uses his courtship to counter Dumbledore.
MN: Lovely original roles for Hermione, Neville, Lavendar, and Alastor. And yes, I know, I bent the PG-13 rule, but this is such an interesting idea!

MN: Definitely the most chilling courtship fic I’ve ever read; Draco is cold and manipulative through much of the story.
