MLK Day
This afternoon as I was driving into The City, I was surprised by how many smiles I saw, kinda something I don't normally see. No one seemed in a particular hurry, and drivers were letting others merge without the normal obscene hand guesters. Rolled my windows down, and turned on one of the radio stations that I listen to when I come into the area, and they just happened to be playing "In The Name Of Love" so totally bitchin for mood I felt growning all around me. Turned up my volume and sang, taking in the clear air and breathing deep.
Had a moment of excitement, feeling the change in the weather, as it were. Hoping for everything promised to us by this enigmatic person who will be placing his hand on the Lincoln Bible tomorrow. Heres to hope, heres to change, heres to one man in the name of love making an empact.
