So I've been lazy and haven't updated lately, but never mind. I'm on holiday now that I've finished all my uni assessment, so that's a relief. More time for sleeping.
My life hasn't been too especially exciting lately. I'm going to Sydney next week for six days, visiting my best friend and seeing some good theatre and films (at the Sydney Film Festival). But I hear it is freezing at the moment in Sydney, and that scares me a little, as I haaaate the cold. I'm also writing a short play at the moment, and that should occupy some of my time. It's for a short play festival that the student theatre company runs, and I really want it to be accepted. Currently it is concerning the life and times of a typical uni student, and what happens when she meets an angel and a demon playing Snap (the card game) in her kitchen. I think there will another character, possibly the girl's ex-boyfriend. We'll see. I want it to be interesting, and not formulaic. But it can only go for about 20 minutes, so I must try not to blab on and on too much. Any ideas, please share.
I just want to say how disappointed I am that polka dots are all the rage at the moment. Whilst I approve of the trend in general, meaning that I wouldn't mind wearing a polka-dotted top myself, I really can't allow myself to do so when every third girl is wearing them. The other two girls are either wearing stripes, or something different. I'd prefer not to be part of the general spots-or-stripes trend, no matter how much they might look cool. It is not cool to be wearing identical outfits to other chicks, people! Get some originality! My clothes might be ugly and mismatched and ill-fitting and worn over and over and over again, but at least I know that I look bad because I look like myself, not because I look like other people.
I look forward to a new trend which I can sneer at and make pretentious remarks over.
