New discoveries
I've always loved horror in text form and enjoy macabre art but I have a lot of trouble with watching film and tv horror. Some of it I acclimatise to via gifs or other spoilers, or sheer grand guignol over the topness (Hannibal NBC I'm looking at you.) One day I will watch Train to Busan, in the safety and security of my own living room, but watching a horror movie on the big screen at a cinema would be way too much of a good thing.
But podcasts - podcasts are working really well for me as a horror format. I have the distance of only the visuals that I choose, but the immediacy of actor performance. It's great. 😍
