Oh, that was interesting. And I remember reading Strewn Towards Heaven, before I knew you from LJ. Ah, accept my belated feedback, I was fascinated by the story, having read of the Johnstown flood, and since I live in an area that is populated by dams, the effect that would happen if one were to break. They are actually fixing the dam upriver from me, that if it did break, would drown several towns on its way to Nashville, Tennessee. It's a little worrisome to be driving along and see signs pointing to which way to go if the dam breaks.

I'd read more in that AU, even if there was a historical slip or two. ::smiles invitingly::

Laurie

ETA: edited because I got my dams and my damns mixed up. Oh coffee, where are you when I need you?

We had a famous protest song over here, Damn the Dam - well, famous to 'old' people such as myself of course. Feedback, both belated and current, is always acceptable. :-)

I'd read more in that AU

I'll think about it, but I really need to be a faster writer. ::sighs::

Oh, I am so with you on that thought.

And besides, you can argue that much of your Holmes comes from movie canon, and that Holmes very well may have gone/will go to the Americas at some point in that canon. We don't know (yet)!

(On a side note, OMG, how much do I hope they're going to cover or lead up to the Great Hiatus in the sequel... also your talking about Holmes in the US has given me a great big plot bunny to have Holmes and Watson called to the US to help Irene...)

I'm a gonna pimp this later tonight when I'm home and on my usual laptop instead of my work computer... :-)

I could stand more of a RDJ/JL Holmes and Watson, for sure. I look forward to the pimping. *g* Thanks.

Oh, that was so much fun! My second-oldest fandom and my absolutely brand-newest, all together in a mab-written ball! I definitely will check out "Strewn Towards a Heaven" and I hope you'll be inspired to write more in this particular area of the universe (perhaps Holmes could meet up with Blair again in his travels--accidentally or on purpose--or even run across Jim). And, of course, thanks for your contribution to such a good cause. :-)

Peanut butter and chocolate, I guess. Thank you so much for the fb, and I hope you enjoy Strewn Towards a Heaven - but it was definitely one of my early stories. :-)

This goes for me , too!!

After watching the latest Sherlock Holmes adaptation with Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law, I became convinced that Holmes was a Sentinel and Watson was his guide.

Very nicely done.

There's a lot of people who've at least dabbled in TS out there, it would seem.

There was the scene where Holmes smells the thug's food - so very Sentinel, and in the book canon there's the monograph on the whatever number of cigar ash.

Thanks. :-)

Intriguing! There is much potential for angst in this story line. I can see Jim being very antagonistic about the unions and Blair on the other side in support of them (yay Blair!)And Naomi, I can see her as a Mother Jones type organizer (I know, she's not in the story, just daydreaming).

I love RDJ (his performances are loaded w/homoerotic vibes, see Wonder Boys, ditto Jude) but Sherlock has become ingrained in my mind as that scary, intense, pale Jeremy Brett.

Brett is still pretty much my ultimate Holmes too, and I have a definite soft spot for Edward Hardwicke's Watson. Still, I very much enjoyed the film, and RDJ/JL visuals are exceedingly pretty. Thanks. :-)
