Exorcism via fic

I haven't had the best of weeks and apparently I have decided that because I'm not having a good time nobody else should either.

Jim and Blair, vaguely pre-slash not that it matters given the story, 3,000 words. Much of what's here is implied rather than graphic, but what's implied is still rape, torture and death. There's maybe a micron of ( Read more... )

Ouch. But also, wow. Dark, twisted, and yet an all too possible look at what can happen when rage takes over - anyone. Well done.

I want to sob. And yet there is this weird sense of empowering joy, just because Jim gave Blair "one of his sweet smiles" and because Blair didn't let go. But then, I want to sob again.

Thanks for finding something moving here. This was so much a case of 'get out of my head OMG!' that I really can't judge it as a story. :-)

Well, I loved it. Really loved it. And I liked your slightly tortuous, winding storytelling. It was a nice reflection of the story itself. Thanks for sharing!

Nice to know that I haven't traumatised you. *g* Thank you.

I loved it too. Heartbreakingly perfect.

"Because it knew that the minute it left me that I'd eat my fucking gun or step under a fucking bus or whatever. [snip] but you... you wouldn't do that, you'd keep hoping that there was something that you could do to get back at it, to stop it, and you'd keep thinking that, wherever you were, dead man walking, or in a cell at Conover, and that would be just be the icing on the cupcake for it. So it picked you."

This stayed with me all day. In the midst of heartbreak and horror, you've done a great character study, there :-)

Thanks, sweetie. In the midst of being distressed just writing this, I would occasionally think to myself 'OMG! OTTA!' so I'm glad you found it worthwhile. I'm too terrified to go back and read it myself now, lest I see my id hanging out of my trousers. *g*

Wow! I love it. For you, it's very dark; but there's still something gloriously triumphant that comes through, maybe because they're together even in such extreme circumstances, still holding on to each other, still using humour and love against their fear... um, having a ramble here *g* Loved it, thanks.

I think it's very dark for anyone. *g* And yes, I did have that little bit of hope at the bottom of the Pandora's Box of horrors, but still.... Glad you liked it though. Thanks.
