Random Squees!
One week and i'll be back to Sydney for a week of Mardi Gras fun and most importantly Spring Awakening. I've kinda been watching some of the clips and I'm not entirely sold but I think that's because i've been listening to the OBC for far too long and anything that sounds different is gonna take some getting used to... and that means I need to adjust to the very Australian accents. Mostly though I can't wait to see a show that i've loved for the last 5 years on stage.
Barenaked Ladies have a new CD coming out so there are a bunch of new clips, new songs and a whole new feel because of Steve leaving the band. The new single is very much the rest of the band coming to grips with how he left them which is awesome for the band and the fans but i'm not sure how radio listeners will take to it. But personally, I love it. It's a great song and I can't wait to hear how the full CD sounds.
I've been mainlining the Percy Jackson YA novels and I'm loving them. I knew the movie was coming out this year and I was looking forward to it but I wasn't expecting it to be out tomorrow. After getting through the first and a half books since Friday i'm gonna be running out of them probably by next week so seeing the movie should fill the whole left by the books. After looking at IMDB and seeing whose playing the Gods i'm loving the casting, although considering some of them aren't really supposed to turn up to book two or three i'm not entirely sure why they are in it. Also not entirely sure about changing Percy from 12 to 18 but we'll see.
But now i'm off to watch new season So You Think You Can Dance!
